OverviewWhat is Work & Witness?Work & Witness is an exciting lay ministry of the Church of the Nazarene. This grass roots effort gives you the opportunity to do construction, evangelism, medical work, office work or any other type of service needed on a specific field. Hundreds of projects are available around the world to be matched with your team’s resources and skills. Teams of approximately fifteen to twenty people travel to one of the 150+ world areas in which the Church of the Nazarene is working. Teams stay for an average of two weeks on each project. Each participant pays for his own transportation to and from the field, field expenses (food, transportation and housing), and contributes toward the purchases of materials needed for the project. Often, a day or two is set aside for sightseeing, but the majority of the time is actually spent on the project. Work & Witness is more than buildings and projects…it is people! If you are looking for a way to share your faith and are willing to work hard while doing so, then a Work & Witness trip is just for you. Your personal involvement will make a significant difference that will last forever. You’ll come back a different person…it will change your life forever! Since it’s beginning in 1972, Work & Witness has continued to thrive and meet the need for missionaries on the field. In 2002, the Church of the Nazarene sent out 593 teams with 10,349 participants. Thousands of churches, parsonages, and schools have been built by Work & Witness teams. Why should I participate?
